My Generation's Epitaph?

poor georgie’s almanack:

Four years ago we heard about the "deplorables."  

Now old people like me are the "expendables."  

The economy is more important. 

For some reason it reminds me of Douglas Adams’ dolphins, who said as they departed the soon-to-be-destroyed-Earth, “So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish.”
