War/Why

poor georgie’s almanack:

Evidence abounds that Hitler was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the 1930s (a kiss of death then).

New insights say, aware of his mortality, Hitler moved up the beginning of WWII (originally planned for 1947) well before the country was ready for war.

He also had syphilis, irritable bowel syndrome, drug addiction, low testosterone … and was nuts.

Lives: A clip in time might save mine.

 poor georgie’s almanack:

This is so weird it might work.

Upon reading that African-American barbers may be the most trusted common-sensical men alive,

I thought a team of black barbers could be chosen to trim the manes and manias of Trump and Kim.

African American millennials, who have the most to lose, should choose the barbers.

Gnus News

poor georgie’s almanack:

Gary Larson caption ..."Well, I’ve got good gnus and I've got bad gnus.”

Obviously, fake gnus stories are nothing new.

I am not an egotist, but

poor georgie’s almanack:
Some leaders think like a hammer.  “Every problem looks like a nail.”
Others are like a preacher.  “This is an opportunity to make my constituents lives better and for others too.”
And some leaders don’t care.  Nero, for instance.  They think it’s not all about you, it’s all about them.

What a crock explained

poor georgie’s almanack:

Early Egyptians believed that at death, a heart lighter than a feather was a sign of a “good” life that would lead to a happy afterlife.

If heavier, the deceased would be eaten by the crocodile god.

Thus the expression from disbelievers, What? A crock?

Porn and politics

poor georgie’s almanack:

Why does this, all of a sudden, make sense?

In porn and political scandals, the coverup usually is more important than the act.

Come together

poor georgie’s almanack:

Poster concept for a rational presidential or gubernatorial candidate.
