51 years ago today came the announcement that the postal genome had been
mapped. They called it the ZIP Code and immediately created what some
thought was a monster, and others an Adonis, which quickly matured to be
my long time companion Mr. ZIP. I actually was his press agent. What a
delightful chip to carry on my shoulder all these years.
